Meet the VSU FCA Campus Director

Trea and Cayla Brinson

Trea Brinson, the VSU FCA Campus Director/Sports Chaplain, is a product of the Northside of Warner Robins, GA. He is a goofy, fun-loving, urgently missional guy who loves college students and athletes.  Trea was raised in a divided home and witnessed the supernatural work of Christ save his family and mend his broken home back together.  He was his father’s best-man in his mom and dads wedding. 

After excelling in a great sports career, Christ called Trea into full-time ministry on a ball field.  He would move off to Wake Forest, NC and finish his degree in Biblical Studies.  While in Wake Forest, Trea worked as a College Pastor and devoted much time and attention to the students of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

One beautiful Sunday morning God again proved faithful in Trea’s life.  As he was teaching Sunday School one Winter morning a beautiful Carolina girl visited his class.  After a terrific friendship this Southern Georgia boy and this sweet Carolina girl decided to unite their lives to serve the one, true God!  Trea and Cayla were married this August in North Carolina.

This couple has a passion to see the lost know Jesus!  After praying for the Lord’s will for their lives, it was in Amsterdam that God called Trea and Cayla to Valdosta State University.  The Brinson family will be devoting their lives to serve the student athletes and the student body of Valdosta State University.
